Capital Punishment

Capital punishment is a term used to refer to the death penalty applied on criminals who have committed several crimes like murdering, rape and or torture. The punishment application differs from country to country or even from state to state; it might be forced upon rapists in some locations but might not be the case in other locations so the legal system is a major factor in  deciding what crime can lead the criminal to the death penalty. There are arguments between the two sides that agree with the system and another side that does believe it’s a murder and do not agree with the punishment.

Did we create our legal system out of revenge or to contribute in eliminating the misbehaviour of the criminals?. This question is usually asked by the people who are against death penalty. The legal system was indeed made to correct the misbehaviour of criminals as humans make errors that sometimes may lead to major crimes like raping or murder. On the other hand, the death penalty is considered a very effective method to reduce major crimes on a bigger scale. In my opinion, the death penalty is a must in case of some major punishments because I think the punishment of any crime plays a major role in decreasing or increasing the crime rate; the concept of correcting misbehavior is important but that also can  be done by applying the death penalty upon criminals with big crimes; this is done when the criminal knows beforehand that he might be killed if he commits a certain crime so he will refrain from killing or raping  and instead might think of lighter crimes or even start behaving in fear of punishment, so it is an effective warning for the criminals.

Another ongoing argument is that killing someone is always cruel even to the animals; what makes us different from the criminal if we just do what he did to the others; the methods that the death penalty is applied are different like killing by shooting, hanging or using the electric chair; all of these seem cruel and painful for those who are against it. The people siding with capital punishment claim that the criminals should have known before that their crimes were cruel to their victims and their families before looking for sympathy from the others. The death penalty seems cruel to me but a perfect method of warning and the fact that criminals did not think of their victims before committing the crime event. Today technology might change the painful death penalty by using different method of killing that will not hurt at all if applied well like injecting the criminal with a special made drug that will put the criminal to sleep forever.

In summary, I support the death penalty as a warning system and a punishment for the criminals to reduce the crime rate and the reason behind every crime I believe should be investigated.
In my opinion the psychological state of the criminal should be considered when applying the penalty.

test 4th question

Good critical thinking skills do bring many benefits to the thinker and to the people around, the problem is that some people think it is a headache and will make the thinkers crazy one day; in the beginning people feel like this.

The critical thinker develops different parts of his brain when he is thinking and these developments can do many wonders to the thinker in his personal and professional life, so it is a good brain exercise. Critical thinkers can make money by using their thinking ability by writing books or make a professional reviews for different arts or materials.

The society benefits from the critical thinker when he skillfully criticizes about something( food, movies, services, tourist locations); the people in many cases base their decision when buying something or going somewhere on the given review by the critical thinker.

test 3rd question

When comparing two events that have no relation, or when the scale is not proper, this can be called a fallacy. A fallacy has many causes and one of them is the lack of proper knowledge, to argue with proper reasoning a good knowledge base is important. Another cause is the inability to differentiate between theoretical  and practical. In many scientific applications, the real result is not the same as what's on the paper; to not e able to see the their difference will make the argument unreasonable.a Another reason for fallacy is the fast developing of technology and its power to make a known fact in to a debatable topic, e.g human evolution. One fallacy is when comparing a developing with a developed one, in the Kiyoto protocol India and China were out of the countries causing pollution as they are or were developing countries, a fallacy would e considering them to be like developed countries when they are not.

test 2nd question

critical thinking has many barriers that make it lose its credibility and this is not strange; after all critical thinking is done by the humans, and humans are affected by internal/external factors. one of the internal factors is the preference factor; for example, a person known for his critical thinking skills writes a review about a Hollywood movie which features his favorite director, without any doubt that reviewer will pass some visible issues and praise the movie. Another internal factor is the love/hate factor, usually on a personal level, One issue is the the attitude and dignity of the thinker. External factors include the government and money factors, the government's authority can greatly censor the views of the thinker and his opinions may completely be stopped because of the authority. The money factor may lead the thinker to write what is completely opposite of what he actually thinks.

test 1st question

Critical thinking is the deep thinking about things or events and being fair to it. the process involves looking at the facts or what is presumed to be a fact and give it a good thought to determine its validity or otherwise. the critical thinker asks many different questions to reach the answer, or solve the mystery, or he might not reach the answer because of the topic's complexity. the critical thinker should have some skills and traits to allow him to be proficient in his thinking process such as having a background on the topic, the ability to maintain calm in the whole process, the patience to look for the answer, and many different skills that will make a good thinker.
